Safety Must Come First: SR-104 and Southern Point
Share
On May 15th, I wrote to the Pickaway County Engineer and the Ohio Department of Transportation urging immediate action on one of the most dangerous intersections in our area: SR-104 and Southern Point Blvd.
That intersection has already claimed lives. With more families moving into Southern Point and traffic on SR-104 growing heavier every year, what was once a rural road is now a major artery — and it’s overdue for real safety improvements.
In the letter, I made it clear:
-
A signalized intersection is not a luxury — it’s a life-saving necessity.
-
Growth without safety planning is unacceptable.
-
Residents deserve to know their concerns are being taken seriously.
As your candidate for Scioto Township Trustee, my priority is making sure that safety keeps pace with growth. We can’t just react after tragedies happen — we need leadership that sees the risks, asks the tough questions, and pushes for solutions before it’s too late.
I will always advocate for roads, schools, and first responders to be equipped before development overwhelms them. That’s not anti-growth — that’s responsible leadership.
Because when it comes to our families’ safety, waiting is not an option.
