Fairness in Sewer Fees

Fairness in Sewer Fees

As a candidate for Scioto Township Trustee, I believe families should never be left paying unfair fees that businesses and other communities are able to avoid. Leadership means standing up for fairness — and making sure residents aren’t taken advantage of.

Right now, Teays Valley families are paying sewer fees on water that never even enters the sewer.

  • Businesses get deduct meters.

  • South Bloomfield offers them to residents for a small one-time fee.

  • But in Commercial Point and Ashville, families are left footing the bill with no option for relief.

That’s not fair. And it’s not leadership.

I’ve been working with residents to organize spokesmen for upcoming council meetings, and a petition has already started. This isn’t just one voice — it’s a growing community effort to demand fairness.

As trustee, I’ll continue standing with residents to make sure basic services are transparent, accountable, and fair to the families who pay for them.
