Standing Together to Protect Farmland
Share
As a candidate for Scioto Township Trustee, I believe in protecting what makes our community strong: our farmland, our rural way of life, and the future we’re building for our families. That’s why I showed up and gave my own testimony in opposition to the proposed 1,700-acre industrial solar plant in Amanda Township, inside the Teays Valley School District.
I wasn’t alone. Hundreds of residents wrote letters, packed the Ohio Power Siting Board hearing, and spoke with passion and purpose. It was a sea of red in the room — neighbors shoulder to shoulder, standing together for farmland and community.
From heartfelt personal stories to fact-filled testimony, one message came through loud and clear: this community values its land and its future more than short-term promises.
This fight isn’t over, but last night showed what’s possible when we work together.
To everyone who wore red, wrote letters, or spoke — thank you. You made history in Teays Valley. And I was proud to stand beside you.
As trustee, I’ll always show up, speak up, and stand with the residents who are defending our farmland and protecting our future.
