Supporting Stronger Emergency Communication

Supporting Stronger Emergency Communication

As a candidate for Scioto Township Trustee, I believe in supporting practical projects that directly improve safety and quality of life for our residents. Growth is not just about homes and businesses — it’s about making sure our infrastructure keeps up.

That’s why I want to thank Fire Chief Cline for leading the effort to bring better cell service and stronger emergency communication to our area — especially in Commercial Point, where dead zones remain a serious problem.

When AT&T approached the township about a possible new site, Chief Cline stepped in and has been hands-on every step of the way to move it forward. The township has now approved an option contract for a new tower site. This doesn’t mean it’s finalized yet — steps like soil testing and carrier evaluations still need to be completed — but it’s a significant step in the right direction.

This is exactly the kind of forward-looking work our community needs:

  • Improved emergency response for fire and EMS.

  • Stronger communication infrastructure for families, schools, and businesses.

  • Better everyday connectivity for residents who live and work in our townships.

As trustee, I will support projects like this that make our community safer and more connected. Responsible leadership means more than saying “yes” or “no” to growth — it means building the infrastructure to protect and serve the people who already live here.
